The Taylor-Austin Group, LLC has provided criminal street gang and criminal justice services since 1997.
Primarily, we provide gang expert consultation and testimony, nationwide, for state and federal criminal trials, habeas corpus, immigration, civil and death penalty cases. Our knowledge and experience has helped attorneys and their clients educate juries, the Court and other fact finders in the area of criminal street gangs. We specialize in African-American gangs in the community (street gangs) and in prison (security threat groups). Our clients have included the Southern Poverty Law Center, Yale University Law School, U.S. Department of Justice and many criminal and immigration attorneys in state and federal venues across the nation.
Next, we provide training in areas of gang rehabilitation, counseling gang members, and alternatives for gang involved youth. Our experts have worked in the criminal street gang sector for decades and are leaders in their respective subject matter. First hand experience with gangs on the west coast and east coast of the United States, the prison system, social justice and the Court process, coupled with knowledge and seasoned experience will prepare your mental health, probation/parole, medical and law enforcement staff.
Lastly, our former Director of the FBI Behavioral Science Unit (BSU) provides training for law enforcement, prison and schools in areas of active shooters, hostage negotiation, criminal profiling and psychopathology. He brings over three decades of criminal justice experience, from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, law enforcement and academic sectors.
